Visit
Wasaga Beach and experience the world's longest
fresh water beach! This 20-kilometre, safe, sandy beach on Georgian
Bay attracts thousands every summer. Wasaga Beach also accommodates
hiking through sand dunes and cross-country skiing trails through
a pine-oak forest. Wasaga Beach sports a museum that tells of
Wasaga's colourful naval history.
Nancy
Island is the centrepiece of Wasaga
Beach Provincial Park, which takes in 14 km of the biggest
freshwater beach in the world. Beach and island were the scene
of an almost forgotten Georgian Bay naval battle in the War of
1812 between Britain and the United States.
Wasaga
Beach offers sun and fun for all. Swimming, boating, canoeing,
jet skiing and sunbathing can all be enjoyed here. Stay at one
of the excellent accommodations
available at Wasaga Beach or check out the Ontario
Parks Wasaga Beach Provincial Park.
